How it works

Modular placement is a pick-and-set job, not a delivery. Each section is lifted off the transport, swung over the foundation and lowered onto the blocking or slab in one controlled move, so the crane has to be sized for the heaviest section at the furthest radius — not the average.

A modular home arrives on a transport and has to be off that trailer and onto its foundation in a single lift. If the crane is undersized for the section weight at the reach the site allows, the set stalls with the unit in the air and the delivery crew waiting.

Frequently asked questions
It is sized on the heaviest section at the furthest radius the crane has to reach, not on the average section weight. A section that is light at the trailer can be a much harder pick once the boom is extended over the foundation.
Yes — the section comes off the transport, swings over the foundation and lowers onto the blocking or slab in one continuous pick. The swing path is checked beforehand so the boom clears the roof line and any service drops.
The weight and dimensions of the heaviest section, the foundation plan, the site address and the date the delivery is booked. From that we work out the crane class, the setup position and the outrigger footprint.
The outriggers need ground that will hold under load — packed gravel, a prepared pad or a hardstand. Soft or recently worked ground is flagged before the day so it can be built up rather than discovered on arrival.
Yes. Smaller units are still planned the same way — weight, radius and approach — because a light section on a long reach can need the same crane class as a heavier one set close in.
The crane is booked to the delivery window, so a delay shifts the set. Call as soon as the transport is running late and we will rework the slot rather than leave the machine standing.
